Quaker & Hall Barn, Norfolk, Norfolk

Haveringland, Norwich, Norfolk

Internet Access

Quaker Barn and Hall Barn are two adjacent self catering holiday barn conversions close to the North Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads. Both barns,  which date back to the early eighteenth century, have been the subject of skilled restoration. This has successfully combined their traditional feel with modern standards of living. Both barns have south-facing gardens which open onto undulating farmland with lovely views. A whole spectrum of wonderful birdlife, foxes, barn owls and deer can be seen within yards of the barn.

The Quaker Barn was once the cart shed and stables but it is now a very stylish and spacious cottage sleeping up to six people. It has a large, open plan, cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove, which is overlooked by a raised dining area and kitchen. A huge sliding glazed door opens onto the south-facing terrace and garden with views across to the water meadows and woods. Quaker Barn combines old and new, using contemporary materials such as marble resin floors and granite worktops, with the original exposed beams, flintwork and panelling.

Hall Barn can accommodate eight guests and has been converted from the hay barn and grain store. It is very spacious and has great character with an interesting mixture of the old and the new - exposed beams and brickwork combined with a fresh modern interior. It has large windows which frame the wonderful views. The barn features up-to-the-minute straw bale insulation and unique marble resin floors.

A welcome hamper on arrival provides a nice touch and includes milk, bread, cereal, wine, biscuits, fruit, cheese, butter and juice.

Haveringland is situated nine miles from the cathedral city of Norwich, close to the picturesque market towns of Aylsham and Reepham which are convenient for shopping. The Norfolk Broads are a short drive away and there are many places of natural, historic or cultural interest to visit in the area.
