An exquisite establishment, perfect for a decadent romantic getaway!

This magnificent Cheltenham Georgian luxury boutique hotel is discreetly located on the corner of a square overlooking the stunning Park, near Cheltenham town centre.

Children aren't permitted to stay at this luxury boutique hotel, so here you can be sure of a welcome weekend away retreat from the hustle and bustle of family life. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the hotel's Italianate courtyard, sipping tea and eating home-cooked chocolate brownies, idly watching the carp swimming in the pond and listening to the tinkling of the fountain. We were very impressed with the courtesy of the staff and the high quality of service offered.

The building has been extensively refurbished during the past few years and the current décor is an eclectic mix of old and new, conjuring up an ambience of elegance and restrained luxury. Each bedroom is differently furnished with great attention to detail, each one of them are stylish and spacious with high ceilings, individual luxurious décor and lovely large bathrooms.

We were particularly intrigued by the recently opened Veuve Room. This exclusive dining room, designed for two people only in conjunction with Veuve Cliquot champagne, can be hired by guests who require a little privacy.  In effect, it's a "secret chamber" and any guests who hire it must sign the official Hotel's secret act. An ideal place for popping the question! There are also plans underway for a " Presedential Suite" a  feature that will take this splendid establishment to  well deserved further heights!

If relaxed and convivial dining is more to your liking, Parkers Restaurant is a sumptuous fine dining area situated at the front of the hotel overlooking the park. It is dominated by a splendid Murano crystal chandelier which hangs in the centre of the room. The restaurant offers modern British cuisine with a French influence and the food is excellent. There is also a well replennished cocktail bar where you can host an elegant cocktail party, enjoy apre-dinner chambagne or relax with a brandy or two after your evening meal.

Cheltenham plays host to several festivals throughout the year. There's a jazz festival, a science festival, a music festival and a literary festival scheduled for 2010 alone. Race meetings, including the famed Cheltenham Gold Cup, take place at the racecourse throughout the year and the town centre has some lovely shops and restaurants.  Alternatively, if you would like to do something really special, why not hire the Hotel's very own Morgan Plus 4 sports car and take it for a spin round the beautiful rolling countryside of the nearby Cotswolds?

There can't be many better ways to spend a luxury romantic weekend away in Britain!
