Coast Meets Country Retreat, Embleton - Accommodation

The Lodge is an independent wing of an early 20th century country house, which has been lovingly refurbished by its owner to 5 star standard. The attention to detail and guest comfort is tantamount throughout this self-catering property and is an idyllic retreat for couples. Anne, the owner of the Lodge, born in Glasgow and inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, has influenced the interior design style that pays homage to the Arts & Craft features of the main house. The result is a clever blend of contemporary wallcoverings, beautiful fabrics, quirky items, oak and painted furniture, relaxing colours with warm splashes of colour.

The ultimate in contemporary living, the accommodation is situated across two floors and features a large open plan living/dining space on the ground floor with patio doors to the garden and cosy log burner set. Upstairs is the spacious master bedroom featuring a super king sized bed. This can be easily converted into twin beds, which can be requested when booking. The en-suite bathroom boasts a large walk in wet room style shower that is big enough for two and a free-standing roll top bath. The Lodge has central heating throughout plus an additional log burner in open plan living area, so that even in the winter months you will always be toasty and warm inside. The outdoor eating area decked with table, chairs and BBQ is perfect for alfresco dining with those distant sea views across the gardens. Thoughtful touches are icing on the cake, such as the DeLonghi Caffe Treviso expresso machine and the 2 adult bikes available for free use. There is bike storage should you wish to bring your own.
Approached via a long gravelled driveway its parkland setting offers ample parking and the use of its superb 5 acres of land including river (with swing), orchard and woodland walks.
