The Temple Tree is a luxury 4 star boutique hotel and villas resort. Nestled amidst lush greenery in a tranquil setting on Langkawi isand in Malaysia, it is easily accessible, only 10 minutes drive from Langkawi airport. This gem of a place comprises villas and hotel rooms, each one with its own unique character. The villas can be rented in the entirity or by the room. The buildings are steeped in history and are an eclectic mix of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin. These fabulously restored antique buildings are tastefully furnished with exquisite original artefacts, with balconies, verandahs and romantic garden views.

This is an idyllic hideaway, the perfect escape away from the beach or bustling city life. You still have the option to stroll along to the beach which is around 15 minutes walk away, or you can relax by the pool or in the library with a good book. The lush surrounding paddy fields are home to many rare birds and other wildlife. You will also make some feline friends here with your very own house cat . The main house originates from Penang and here the Straits Club House and Restaurant as well as library, pool room and bar provide a grand colonial setting for your dining experience. Cocktails at sunset here looking out onto the pool are surely not going to be forgotten. Each villa has it's own character and unique design features. The Chinese House is around 100 years old and has an upstairs suite and a down stairs suite, both with large verandahs and impressive mountain views. Penang House is of Malay origin and again has 2 separate suites with living room and one also has an additional bath/massage room. Black and White House is striking in design with a spacious outdoor porch to chill out on, a huge bedroom with a luxury pampering wooden bath tub, and an adjoining mini gym. Perhaps the most lavish is the Colonial House which is a former stately home of rich Arabian Goldsmith traders. The two downstairs bedrooms both have separate entrances and outdoor private gardens with wooden tubs and sun loungers. Upstairs, Colonial 3, is a large space with bedroom and living space as one and a separate bath hall with two wooden baths. Colonial 4, also upstairs at the front, is the showpiece of the villa, with separate living space, a family bath hall and 2 separate bedrooms both with en suites. The Estate House is a transformed Indian workers estate house which has been converted into 5 luxury and quirky hotel rooms with bedroom/ living space and a verandah to the front, perfect for your lazy hazy days here at the Temple Tree.
