This little gem of a place is great for wining and dining, with the added treat of a romantic bolt hole to retire to after your well-deserved romantic dinner for two.

The Crown Inn , Amersham, Buckinghamshire, is a historic yet modern coaching inn, only 50 minutes from London by car or an easy 35 minutes from Marylebone by tube. 
Eating and drinking form the main stay of the Inn, with the Crown Chop House being at the heartbeat of this thriving establishment, serving hearty portions of grilled meats and salads, all washed down with fine wines and local ales. Head Chef David Hawkins selects seasonal produce from handpicked local suppliers and thus offers a refreshing and constantly changing menu.
With inglenook fires, crooked floors, a cobbled courtyard and design features that take you back to bygone days this surely does seem an escape to another era, and far away from the city crowds.
