A superb country inn, easy to get to from London.


The Olde Bell is a romantic modern coaching inn, in Hurley, Berkshire, only 45 minutes from London so is easily reachable from the city. The restaurant has been awarded 2 Rosettes from the AA Restaurant Guide, and the exquisitely refurbished accommodation has been classified 5* Inn by the AA Hotel Guide.

The Olde Bell's kitchen is under the charge of Warren Geraghty as Executive Chef, Andrew West-Letford as Head Chef and Jason Farr as Pastry Chef, cooking simple, rustic and fantastic quality food. A great deal of time and effort has gone into sourcing and building relationships with local farmers and producers of the best ingredients, creating seasonal and constantly changing menus
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (excluding Sunday night) while the bar serves food daily from noon until 10pm. The restaurant is open between 12.30pm and 2.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 4pm on Sundays for lunch and 6pm to 9.45pm Monday to Saturday for dinner. For weekdays only, feast on a special 2 course lunch for £12 per head. The Olde Bell's terrace is open all year round and from May to September you may dine at the weekend Summer Kitchen in the meadow garden, with an enormous rotisserie, a kamado oven and a grill cooking locally sourced meats and fishes, all served with produce from the kitchen garden. Home-made picnics are also available for residents.
The kitchen garden located in one of the old walled gardens serves 30% of the kitchens herb, fruit and vegetable supply - it also provides a lovely walk around the fruit cages and green house where the head garden can often be found answering guests' gardening questions! The wild meadow garden at the end of the main inn garden has grassy secluded areas for picnics and walk ways leading around and through the idyllic wooded area.
