Aish Cross Holiday Cottages, Devon

Aish Cross House, Aish, Stoke Gabriel, Totnes, Devon

Internet Access Near a Beach Pet Friendly

Aish Cross Holiday Cottages are an idyllic retreat for grownup getaways with the added benefits of South Devon's miles of spectacular coastline and beaches right on your doorstep and Dartmoor, a relatively short drive away. Enjoy a blissful break relaxing from the hectic pace of everyday life in immaculate accommodation that will make you feel truly rested.

Aish Cross is a ‘picture perfect' Regency Country House where you will find the owners Angela and Michael reside. Adjoining the main house are The Coach House, The Stable and The Hayloft, all three have been converted to a very high standard into delightful holiday cottages. They are nestled in a tranquil setting, surrounded by farmland with an abundance of beautifully scented wild flowers throughout the year.

The Holiday Cottages

When you step foot inside your cottage, you will be greeted with a welcome hamper and fresh flowers. Inside the hamper is a small selection of local produce and of course that first welcome brew, with fresh milk awaiting you in the fridge. You will also get to sample a delicious locally produced apple juice made from the apples picked from Aish Cross's orchard!

Each cottage has its own unique appeal, which features exposed oak beams and log burning fires. The fixtures and fittings have country house charm and the décor is soft muted colours peppered with delicate floral prints. The Coach House and the Stable have the added benefit of conservatories, which provide extra chill out space for quiet times. All holiday cottages have freeview TV, DVD, Radio/CD players and ‘hardwired’ internet connection. The open plan kitchens are extremely well equipped with all mod cons. The Coach House and The Stable have downstairs cloak rooms.

The Coach House is the largest of the cottages sleeping a group of 4 - 6 in three bedrooms. The third twin bedroom with en suite shower/toilet facilities is accessed via one of the main bedrooms. The Stable and the Hayloft both have two bedrooms sleeping guests of up to 4. The Hayloft is a recent conversion, although modern, retains the same charm and character of the other two holiday cottages.

A good selection of books and board games are to be found in each cottage.

The Grounds and Orchard

Within the gated grounds of Aish Cross there are picnic benches dotted around the orchard for al fresco dining, drinks and simply kicking back on balmy summer evenings.

Location, Torbay & nearby the beautiful River Dart

The cottages are located amongst the rolling hills of South Devon in a tiny hamlet of Aish, one mile from the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel and 3 miles from the medieval town of Totnes. Stoke Gabriel is a former salmon-fishing village on the banks of the River Dart. Here you can simply sit outside a café and enjoy watching the boats come and go. It's an ideal base with Dittisham, Kingswear and Dartmouth just a short drive or sail down river.

The local area offers a wealth of attractions including five National Trust and English Heritage properties within a 20 minutes drive away. There are some excellent beaches in nearby Torbay and the South Hams, a short drive away.
