Ffynon is a stunning mix of classic and contemporary design. A perfect indulgent romantic hideaway, relaxing and easy going, this is ideal opportunity to make the most of your kids free break.

Ffynnon is an award winning stylish and indulgent boutique guest house, lying in the heart of the stunning stone built Welsh market town of Dolgellau. Set against the backdrop of the impressive Snowdonia Mountains, this is a gem of a place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. To prove it - Ffynnon was awarded " Best Small Place to Stay" by Visit Wales.

Debra and Steve have lovingly and creatively restored this Victorian rectory, carefully ensuring that the chic contemporary design features are perfectly balanced with the traditional character of this 19th century rectory.

The reception and lounge are sumptuously furnished with exquisite taste, perfect for spending some quiet time before an afternoon walk or evening out in the town.

Each of the six spacious bedrooms has its own personality and is named after one of the family grandmothers. Features include antique beds with feather mattresses, luxury roll top baths, seating areas overlooking the stunning surrounding countryside as well as in-room entertainment systems and Wi-Fi for those who still need to touch base with the outside world. This is a hideaway haven where you can both make the most of your special grown up time away without the kids, maybe relaxing in the outdoor hot-tub with champagne, or indulging in a pampering " his & hers" in-room massage. If you fancy something more energetic, this is the perfect opportunity to get out and about to grown up places at grown up paces, with no kids in tow. The house is so big and spacious, and there is so much to do around the area you would probably only see other guests at breakfast time, or maybe in the butler's kitchen along the hall way which is there for you to make use of for a late supper or afternoon snack! (Kids are welcome here though, so it's best to come in term time for the most tranquil stay).

Ffynnon oozes sophisticated style, but in a relaxed and informal away. There's plenty to do around here. Dolgellau is surrounded by some of the most well known walks in Wales, as well as cycle trails and a tree-top rope course to swing along if you really want to do something a bit different! It's only 6 miles to the coast and some of Wales best and least exploited sandy beaches. The somewhat sleepy town itself is steeped in history, having the most listed buildings than any other Welsh town, its winding and hilly streets all lead down to the town square with quaint gift shops, galleries, delis and a few pubs and restaurants. For a small town, Dolgellau is a foodies' delight and is blessed with some fantastic places to eat from quirky cafes to award winning restaurants. (Steve and Debra will book a local restaurant ahead for you to ensure no disappointments later on).

Ffynnon is perfectly placed to be a country hideaway, only 2 hours from the Northwest and even less to the Midlands; it's not that far to escape to, but far enough to leave all your stresses behind and the address simply says it all -Love Lane!
