   Gidleigh Park in Devon boasts a wonderful secret, hidden in 107 acres of Dartmoor National Park it is officially the best place to dine in the UK.  With Michael Caines MBE , Executive Head Chef at the helm, Gidleigh Park has held two Michelin stars since 1999.  The restaurant is celebrating yet another accolade having just been voted UK number 1 in the Sunday Times Top 100 British Restaurants, Best Place to Stay  and Best Wine List.  So together with the sumptuous interiors and fabulous ambience this makes Gidleigh Park's Michael Caines Restaurant the ultimate choice for your romantic dinner with your loved one.

 Unique artworks adorn the wood panelled walls and are complemented by carefully selected  period furnishings and furniture.  Owners Andrew and Christina Brownsword have exquisitely designed the restaurant giving you the chance to enjoy fine dining in true sensational style.

 Now that this is officially the best restaurant in the country then it's certainly going to be an enthralling experience for you.  Michael Caines and his team are passionate about their cuisine, working closely with the best local and regional suppliers, using fresh fish and meats such as Cornish duckling and Brixham cod, together with seasonal vegetables and fruits, in a European style with a creative and innovative twist.

Head Sommelier, Edouard Oger is always on hand to advise on the fine wine list, over 12000 bins are available, all stored expertly in the hotel's very own dedicated wine cellar.  The menu changes with the seasons and a range of tasting menus compliment the daily a la carte.
