The Michael Caines Fine Dining experience is a fabulous treat and the perfect setting for romantic dinner for two!

  The award winning Priory Restaurant is renowned for its fine dining experience, the innovative young team led by Head Chef Sam Moody are mentored by Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE and have adapted his unique cuisine in their own style.

The Bath Priory were very proud to be voted number 3 in the South west by the Sunday Times top 100 British restaurants.   As Executive Head Chef , Michael Caines, MBE visits regularly and was justifably extremely proud to have both his kitchens feature so highly in the Sunday Times listing, Gidleigh Park his own base and where Sam trained was voted the  UK Number 1 Restaurant 2010. 

Sam and his team are passionate about their innovative and creative European Cuisine and  create their menus using  the best  locally sourced ingredients including some from the hotels very own herb and vegetable garden.  Working closely with his suppliers influences the changes to Sam's menus  as he adapts the menu to reflect the produce that is in abundance on the local famrs and estates that he works with. Examples from the menu include seared Brixham Scallop and slow roast Hinton estate beef . Combine your dining experience with some very fine wine, the knowledgeable Sommelier is only too happy to advise on the extensive wine selection available.

The restaurant has a light bright ambience within this beautiful country house hotel nestled in four acres of Gardens a short distance from the heart of the city of Bath.  The Bath Priory boasts elegant interiors and unique artworks it is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two or a leisurely lunch overlooking the stunning landscaped gardens.  There is a charming relaxing yet sophisticated ambience that prevails  providing the perfect backdrop for a special dining experience.

Private dining is available for that extra special occasion and the delightful outside terrace  is perfect for afternoon tea or Champagne at sunset before your romantic dinner for two.
