A fabulous spot for an afternoon lunch, afternoon snacks or thirst quenching summer drink after a day's walking. This has regular live eevening music spots during the summer months. A great alternative to the Hotel's more formal Asknish Bay restaurant.

The Chart Room II Bistro at Loch Melfort Hotel, Arduaine, near Oban, is the perfect setting for an afternoon lunch or a wonderful seafood evening meal.  Overlooking the most amazing views of Asknish Bay on Scotland's west coast, and the surrounding islands of Jura, Shuna and Scarba, this is a relaxed and informal way to enjoy some of the area's finest cuisine, including freshly caught languistine, lobster and crab, or for meat lovers there are Highland Beef Burgers and Steak and Ale Pies. Vegetarian choices such as roasted vegetable pasta and chilli con carne (vegetarian of course) are also available as well a wide range of snacks, salads, sandwiches and wraps for a lighter option.  Following this there are some delicious home baked desserts and ice creams to tempt you.

Whether dining inside or outside on the patio, this is a great spot to sit and watch the views across the bay, or the hotel's cows grazing below. The summer nights are perfect for romantic sunsets and the cosy fire in winter is great to warm up by. For visitors or hotel guests alike, this is an ideal informal alternative to the hotel's Asknish Bay fine dining restaurant.  Check out the hotel's website for further menu and booking information. Don't forget to mention "Away without the kids" when booking.
